Forge Retreat is designed for High school students. The focus of this weekend is letting our lives be shaped by the good news of the Gospel.

Our speaker, Rev. David Kelly
I graduated from the University of Florida in 1995 and married my wife Karen in 1996. When we moved to Eustis we joined New Hope Presbyterian Church and began volunteering with the youth.
From 1997 to 2001 I taught and coached at Eustis High School. In 2001 I came on staff as full time youth director at New Hope. Later that year we became parents with the birth of our daughter Katherine and the next year welcomed our son J.T.
I graduated from RTS-Orlando as of May 2016 and received my Masters or Divinity degree. On April 23rd, 2017 I was ordained and installed by the Central Florida Presbytery as an Associate Pastor at New Hope Presbyterian Church. I continue to be heavily involved in the youth ministry and have a focus on men’s discipleship and leadership training with an emphasis in church planting.
Some of my favorite activities (outside of youth ministry) are hunting, fishing, and drinking ice cold coca-cola from a Mason jar with raindrop ice (yes, I am addicted)!
I love families and students, but I am most glad that Jesus loves us and allows us to know Him more and more.
